Macon- Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bates of Macon, GA, born March 12, 1932, went to be with Jesus on October 27, 2008. She is survived by Tracy Bates, son, Inez Thomas and Rosa Parker, sisters of Macon, Gloria Bates, daughter-in-law, Kirsty and Kayla Bates of Ringgold, GA. Ms. Bates will be laid to rest next to Frank D. Bates in a graveside service in Evergreen Cemetery on November 4, 2008 at 2:00PM. Viewing will be held at noon to one pm. Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street will handle services.
