Martha Rainey Williams

Martha Rainey Williams, 77, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Westview Cemetery in Soperton, Georgia.

Daughter of the late Frank Rainey and Annis Ellen Meeler Rainey, Martha was born in Dublin, Georgia on December 4, 1946. She was a 1964 graduate of Jones County High School.  She worked as a supervisor at Mini Foods Store, Inc. for 30 plus years.

Martha's passion for the beauty of nature was evident in her love for growing flowers. Her garden was a colorful testament to her nurturing touch, often visited by the hummingbirds she adored. She had a love for NASCAR, which brought her excitement and joy. In quieter moments, she could often be found with her nose in a good book.

Martha is survived by her son, Robert “Robby” Williams of Macon; daughter, Teresa Williams of Macon; grandchildren: Wesley Davis, Ashley Parsons (Victor), Rebecca Register, and Alicia Williams, all of Macon; great grandchildren: Allie, Braxton, Elizabeth, Victor, Jr., and Jaxon; brother, Lamar Rainey; niece, Georgia Rainey; nephew, Jeffrey “Bubba” Rainey; great nephew, Dalton; and several special friends and coworkers.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her great grandson, Adam Register.
