Martha Gail Walker

Martha Gail Walker passed away in her sleep on January 23, 2018 after a long illness. A memorial service is planned for Monday, January 29th, 2018 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Ingleside Baptist Church on Wimbish Road. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ingleside Baptist Church. Martha was born to Ernest Maldron McCracken and Ruth May Phillips McCracken on September 5th, 1944 in Miami, Florida. She was a long-time member of Ingleside Baptist Church. Martha retired from the Medical Center Navicent Health in 2011 after thirty years as an RN in the Neonatal ICU. She was an avid bridge player in several "social" bridge groups and at the Macon Duplicate Bridge Club where she attained the rank of Bronze Life Master. Martha enjoyed many outdoor recreational activities including: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling and tennis. Martha is survived by her husband, George Walker; brother, Ernest Lucien McCracken of Woodstock, Georgia; two children, Troy Edwards (Cathy) of McDonough, Georgia and Tammy Stephens (Frank) of Gray, Georgia; 3 step children, Brent Walker (Tammi), Stacey Johnson (Neal) of Thomasville, Georgia and Robin Frischkorn (Chris) of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Heather Marie Meadows (AJ), Douglas Christopher Stephens (Lorrie), Brooke Ashley Edwards, Blythe Allison Edwards, Sydney Renee Walker, Elizabeth Cara Johnson , Audrey Lucinda Johnson, and Ryan Christopher Frischkorn; and great-grandchild, Quinn Meadows.
