Martha Asbell Sauls

Martha Asbell Sauls went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Mrs. Sauls was born October 29, 1918, to George E. and Eloise Jones Asbell in Macon, Georgia. She graduated from A.L. Miller High School and from Georgia Alabama Business College. Mrs. Sauls was employed at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and later during her life worked at Macon Federal Savings and Loan Association, and the Citizens and Southern Bank from which she retired. She always enjoyed a job serving the public where she made many friends. Mrs. Sauls was preceded in death by her husband, William Theron Sauls, to whom she was married for fifty-eight years. She began teaching Sunday school before her marriage at Tattnall Square Baptist Church, and was active there in WMU and at First Baptist Church in Pelham, Georgia and at Ingleside Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter Jean (Kenneth) Glass, and a son, Dr. David (Teresa) Sauls; Grandsons: Kerry (Joyce) Glass; Kevin (Angela) Glass; Stephen (Niki) Sauls; Mark (Sarah) Sauls; Jake Sauls. Great grandchildren: Bryant Glass and McKenna Glass and Grace Sauls and Beckett Sauls. The funeral will be in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210 on Saturday, June 29th at 3 PM with visitation at 2 PM. Dr. Jimmy Asbell, her nephew, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that you make a donation to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon, GA 31210, or to the charity of your choice. Friends may sign the online register at www.hartsmort.com. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory at the Cupola has charge of arrangements.
