Martha Elizabeth Kane

Martha Elizabeth Kane, 69, of 230 Kitchens Corner, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00AM at Antioch Baptist Church, Dry Branch, Georgia with the Reverend Cile Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family may be contacted at 79 Kitchens Corner and will greet friends on Friday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Mrs. Kane was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce C. Kane and her brother, Robert Delbert Kitchens. Mrs. Kane was owner and operator of Martha's Kitchen Restaurant in Twiggs County. She also worked for more than twenty years at Shoney's as area training supervisor. Martha was a kind and loving person who never met a stranger. She was loved and will be missed by all. Mrs. Kane is survived by her children, Robbie Hamm (Tina) of Gray, Lisa Hamm Mercer of Twiggs County, April Wilcher (Robin) of Warner Robins, Step-Children, Bruce Kane, Jr., Roy Kane, Susan Kane and Eric Kane, all of Florida; grandchildren, Brandon T. McCullum, Jesse McCullum, Tyler McCullum, Bobbie Hamm, Caitlin Hamm, Robert Hamm and Zoe Wilcher; great-grandchild, Elizabeth McCullum; brother and sisters, Charles Kitchens (Pat) of Macon, Patricia Jobin of Warner Robins and Fay Brown (Johnny) of Gray; sister-in-law, Loretta Kitchens of Twiggs County.
