Martha Ann Hood Mclellan

Martha Ann Hood Mclellan, 68, of Gordon, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022.  Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Mclellan’s name to the Houston County Humane Society, 810 Carl Vinson Pkwy, Centerville, GA 31028.

Daughter of the late Bobby Ray and Mildred Cobb Hood, Mrs. Mclellan attended Central High School in Macon, Georgia.  She loved meeting her regulars at Cracker Barrel where she worked for many years.  Prior to moving to Carolina Beach, North Carolina, she worked with the United States Postal Service in the mid-90s.  She was co-owner of a sandwich shop until moving back to Jones County.  She loved the beach, arts and crafts, pets, growing plants, collecting jewelry, and a good cup of coffee.

Mrs. Mclellan was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Mcleskey and brother, Robert M. Hood.

Mrs. Mclellan is survived by her daughter, Christie Taylor (Wayne) of Gordon; grandchildren, Chelse Robinson (Jeremy) of Barnesville, Georgia, and Erik McKee (Destiny) of Jones County; great grandchildren, Jayla Robinson, Aubrey McKee, Jeremy Robinson, Jr., and Haven McKee; sister, Ruth Collins (Russ) of Warner Robins, Georgia; beloved friend and caretaker, Stephanie Hudson; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Forrest.
