Martha Snell Caraway

Martha Snell Caraway, 90, of Jones County, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel with private burial at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Caraway was a native of Ozark, Alabama. In addition to raising her five children, Mrs. Caraway loved to crochet afghans, put together jigsaw puzzles, watch game shows and sports, especially the University of Alabama sports. She is predeceased by her parents, Roy and Eudora Strickland Snell; son, Harold Bottoms; and brother, James Mixon Snell.

Mrs. Caraway is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Caraway of Jones County; four children, Cara Bottoms Watson (Pat) of Skipperville, Alabama, Terri Bottoms Andrews of Enterprise, Alabama, Charles Caraway (Lisa) of Gray, and James Caraway (Dawn) of Gray; three step-children, Brad Loyal (Maulena) of Ewell, Alabama, Gwen Barefield (Chuck) of Bertha, Alabama, and Alisa Phillips (Allen) of Ozark, Alabama; eight grandchildren, Patrick Watson (Mandy), Derrick Watson, De’Enna Quinn (Rory), Kaylin Caraway, Liana Caraway, Camryn Caraway, Whitney Shifflet (A.J.), and Taylor Butler (Garette); eight great grandchildren; nephew, Mickey Snell (Carol) of Ozark, Alabama; and sister-in-law, Jenene Henry of Enterprise, Alabama.
