Mark Wilson Phillips, 65, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024. Funeral services were private.
Son of the late George Lee Phillips, Sr. and Margaret Lee Atchley Phillips, Mark was born in Macon, Georgia on March 24, 1959. Mark's early life was marked by a notable achievement; at the tender age of 14, he proudly attained the rank of Eagle Scout, an honor that reflected his lifelong love of nature and commitment to community service.
Mark loved the beach, especially Sanibel and Captiva Island, where he could often be found leisurely searching the beaches for seashells. He also enjoyed going fishing at Lake Blackshear in Cordele, Georgia.
Mark is survived by his partner, Rosalyn Sparks, of Forsyth; brother, George Phillips (Marilyn), of Macon, Georgia; sister, Bronwyn Young, of Kathleen, Georgia; nephews: Phil Daly (Ana), of Seabrook, South Carolina, Jay Daly (Vance Brawley) of Atlanta, Georgia, John Phillips, of Colorado, and Ashley Wayne Phillips (Katie) of Alabama; great-nieces, Savannah Daly, Ava Phillips, and Beatrice Phillips; and great-nephew, Wesley Phillips.
