Carrollton-Marjorie Doris Leonard died Sunday, March 11, 2012 in Carrollton Ga. She was 92 years old. She was born to Pearl Duncan Hodge & Bessie Pearle Triplett on Christmas Eve, Dec 24, 1919 in Excelsior Springs, MO. She lived part of her early life in Missouri & in New Orleans. She & her late husband, Thomas L Leonard lived in Macon, GA from 1949 to 2008. They lived in the same house for over 50 years. Marjorie worked at WMAZ for over 20 years & had been an assistant Girl Scout leader in the fifties. She had been a member of Bowden Golf Course Lady's Golf Association & a member of Cross Keys Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, & her husband. She is survived by her children, Judy Anderson & her husband Dale from Villa Rica, GA & her son, Thomas T. Leonard & his wife Kathy from Eau Claire, WI. as well as her grandchildren Teresa Alderman, from Villa Rica, Ga.; Tech Anderson, from Dallas, GA, & Tara Bracewell, from East Dublin, Ga. & seven great grandchildren & one great great granddaughter. Visitation for Mrs. Leonard will be held from 10-11 AM at the Mausoleum Chapel at Macon Memorial Park with funeral services following at 11 AM on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Rev C. Lee Bennett will be officiating. Friends may sign the online register at www.hartsmort.com. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry Street has charge of arrangements.
