Marjorie Redd Dunson

Marjorie Redd Dunson, 83, died Thursday evening June 6th in Shands Hospital, Jacksonville, FL. Ms. Dunson was a native of Macon, GA, and a long time resident of Atlantic Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Redd, Jr. and Marjorie Alexander Redd, and her brother, Ernest Redd, III. Ms. Dunson is survived by her daughter, Ann Johnson Newell (Burgess), her granddaughter, Hadley Newell Haugabook (Cheney), and her great granddaughter, Virginia Newell Haugabook. Ms. Dunson attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO. After her time at Stephens, she returned to Macon to begin a long and successful career in real estate brokerage and property management. She eventually made her way to Atlantic Beach where she lived and worked for nearly 50 years. Ms. Dunson served her community well and was highly regarded by her many clients and friends. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 13 at 2:30PM, Riverside Cemetery, Macon, GA, The Reverend Harriette Simmons presiding. No flowers please. Memorials to the charity of your choice.
