Marie J. Thum

Marie J. Thum, born August 12, 1917, 98, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Macon Memorial Park with the Reverend Joe McDaniel officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service on Monday from 12:30PM until 1:30PM at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to donor's favorite charity. Mrs. Thum was the widow of Mr. William Ghee Thum, Jr. She was a former member and treasurer of First Street United Methodist Church. She was part owner/treasurer of Thum's Service Center in downtown Macon. Survivors include her son, Billy Thum (Carole) of Macon; three grandchildren, Jodi Durden (Billy) of Bolingbroke, Jami Heath (Lan) of Macon, and Jason Thum (Penny) of Macon; and eight great grandchildren.
