Marie Elizabeth "Betty" Thomasson

Marie Elizabeth "Betty" Thomasson, 89, of Fort Valley, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at Macon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Ms. Thomasson was born and raised in Macon. She was a former member of Roberta United Methodist Church, Roberta, Georgia and a resident of The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville, Georgia. She was an avid gardener and a beloved mother and grandmother. She is predeceased by husbands, Bennie Harvey Hill, Sr., Joe N. Goodwin and James Thomasson. Ms. Thomasson is survived by her son, B. Harvey Hill, Jr. (Cheri) of Ft. Valley; daughter, Selyne H. Rickman (Steve) of Macon; grandchildren, Erik Hill (Sandy), Shane Hill (Tiffany), Anne Marie Martin, Jennifer Farr (Kelly); step grandchildren, Sam Rickman (Lynette), John David Rickman (Lindsey); and twelve great-grandchildren.
