Mariam Hancock

Mariam Crawford Hancock, 88, of Carlyle Place, died Thursday, October 18, 2012. Services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 10:30AM at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church with the Reverends Tommy Mason and Mike McAfee officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), P. O. Box 9068, New York, New York 10087.

Mrs. Hancock was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed hiking, canoeing, bird watching, photographing wild flowers and camping. Mrs. Hancock was predeceased by her son, David Charles Hancock.

Mrs. Hancock is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Bishop C. W. "Handy" Hancock of Macon; daughter, Susan Hancock Robinson (John) of Conyers, Georgia; son, Stephen Crawford Hancock (Janet) of Kemp, Texas; daughter, Laura Hancock Osiecki (Paul) of Coppell, Texas; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Holcomb Hancock of Canton, Georgia; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; twin brother, Thomas R. Crawford, Jr. (Sara).
