Margaret Fitzgerald Wallace

Margaret Fitzgerald Wallace, 76, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Macon, Georgia.  The family will greet friends Friday evening, April 4, 2025, after the Vigil which will begin at 7:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.

Margaret was born on December 31, 1948, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Robert Edward Wallace, Sr., and Margaret Fitzgerald Wallace.  Margaret’s career spanned over fifty years in Real Estate, including thirteen years as an investigator for the Georgia Real Estate Commission. After retiring from the state, she returned to Coldwell Banker Access Realty as an associate broker.  In 2018, Margaret completed her Associate's Degree, and in 2022, her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice at Middle Georgia State University.

Her vivacious personality will be greatly missed by family and countless friends from all walks of life.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Shelley Cummings (Danny) of Lebanon, Ohio; her grandchildren, Ben and Jacob Cummings and Sarah Gaddy (Caleb); her great granddaughter, Emerson Gaddy; her brother, Bobby Wallace (Harriet); her nieces, Hazle Hamilton (Larry) and Christine Wilson (Joe); her sister, Julie Bragg; her nieces, Susan B. Slocumb and Anne B. Bragg; her great nieces, Anne Slocumb (Ajay) and Taylor Evans; her great nephew, Rob Slocumb (Kaile); her great-great nephews, Logan and Brax.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Peggie Wallace; her nephews, Brax and Taylor Bragg; and her brother-in-law, Jim Bragg.

The family would like to thank Margaret’s many friends, colleagues, and family who added so much to her joyful life.  She especially loved her special friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Margaret will be greatly missed.
