Margaret Pulliam Smith

Margaret Pulliam Smith died on September 30, 2011 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George Boone Smith, Jr. She was the daughter of the late Bonnie Jernigan Pulliam and Robert Lee Pulliam and was predeceased by her brother, Robert Lee Pulliam, Jr. Mrs. Smith graduated from Mercer University in 1940 where she was a founding member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and Idle Hour Country Club. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Kay Smith Greer, and her son, George Boone Smith III, and his wife Claire. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Hal and Jenny Greer, George and Anna Greer, Ginny Smith and her fiancé, Webb Younce, and Boone and Amanda Smith. She had four great- grandchildren, Maggie, Harry, Eli, and Kate Greer. Visitation will be held at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 4-6 PM. A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on Monday, October 3, 2011, at 11:00 AM, with the Reverends Harriette Simmons and David Probst officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 582 Walnut Street, Macon, Georgia 31201 or the charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank Drs.
