Margaret T. Simmons

Margaret T. Simmons Daughter of W.A. and Maude Estella Thompson passed away April 8, 2016. A visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2016 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street with Kenan Hodges officiating. Graveside will be private. She has been a resident of Macon all her life. She attended Local schools and graduated from A.L. Miller High School in 1945. She married John Robert Simmons Jr. October of 1947. She was a loving wife, homemaker, and beloved mother. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years in 2001. She had 2 children. A son J.R. (Bobby) Simmons, III who preceded her in death in 1998. Margaret dedicated her life as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1955. She remained faithful in her service to Jehovah for 60 years. She attended Northwoods Congregation of Macon. She is survived by her precious daughter, Sheryl Simmons; sister, June T. Foster; daughter-in-law, Kathy Simmons; niece, B.J. (Jodie) Marshall, all of Macon; Nephews: W.A. (Billy) and Brenda Ussery and family of Knoxville, Tenn; W.E. (Bo) and Cheryl Foster of Hudson, Ohio; niece, Courtney Foster of Cleveland, Ohio; Mark and Darlene Thompson and family of North Carolina; niece, Joanne Lampe and family of Jacksonville, Fl.
