Margaret “Peggy” Schlapkohl

Margaret “Peggy” Schlapkohl of Macon, Georgia passed away on March 16, 2024. Born in Chattanooga TN, she grew up in Charlotte, NC. A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill Dental Hygiene School, she there met and married the love of her life, Dr. Chuck Schlapkohl. They raised their family in Lighthouse Point, FL later moving to Greensboro, GA, and after Chuck’s death, she moved to Macon, GA.  She is survived by her children, Cheri Pyle (Jeff), Mark Schlapkohl, and Rob Schlapkohl, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, her brother Gregg Parker and sister Betty Valek.

A lifelong Presbyterian, she was a gifted pianist, a beautiful singer, loved tennis and bridge, flowers and music of all kinds. She will be wonderfully and terribly missed.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
