Margaret Perry

Macon- Margaret Baker Perry passed away peacefully at the Medical Center of Central Georgia with her beloved family members at her bedside and went on to glory to be with her LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, 17 December 2009. Services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00AM at Harvest Cathedral with the Reverend Steve Sawyer officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 332 North Lauderdale, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles Farris Perry. She was born in Helena, Georgia, the daughter of Emmett Franklin Baker and Annie Ruth Noblitt Baker Holton. She lived in Macon most of her life and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and homemaker. She attended Cross Keys Baptist Church, Cherokee Heights Baptist Church and Harvest Cathedral Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Emmett Franklin Baker, Jr. Mrs. Perry was retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission where she served as payroll supervisor. She was a past member and president of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority (Alpha Nu Chapter) and she was an avid gardener. Mrs. Perry is survived by her sisters, Emily A. Baker of Roberta, GA, Diane Norman, Sharon H. Mallory, Brenda H. Gibbs and Cindi H. Worthington, all of MacClenny, FL; sons, CH(CPT) Charles "Randy" Perry and wife, Brigitte, and Daniel A. Perry, both of Macon; daughter, Donna Reynolds and companion, Stanley W. Hamlin, of Lizella, GA; grandchildren, Adriana M. Perry, Alexander M. Perry, Matthew D. Perry, Ellis M. "Trey" Franks, III, Nida E. Lopez, Tara Franks Newcomb, Somer Danielle Etheredge and Aaron C. Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Devin R. Perdue and Hailey E. Franks; many nieces and nephews; beloved animals, Wally, Mickey, Preston and Tabitha. Online register is located at www.hartsmort.com.
