Margaret Elizabeth Hux

Margaret Elizabeth Hux, 89, died Monday, August 27, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-4:00PM on September 5, 2012 in the Grand Ballroom at Carlyle Place, 5300 Zebulon Road. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercer University School of Medicine's Scholarship Program, 1400 Coleman Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31207. Mrs. Hux was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. She had a Master's degree in journalism from Mercer University. She was co-author with Kristina Simms of the book, "Macon Georgia's Central City". Survivors include her daughter, Susan Pember (Fred) of Dawsonville; son, Richard Hux (Jamie) of Lilburn; four grandchildren, Brian Pember (Amy) of Cumming, Kelly Colquitt (Dan) of Canton, Shannon Buckley (Adam) of Acworth, and R.C. Hux of Tampa, Florida; eight great grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Ross of Kenmore, New York. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
