Margaret Helen Everett

Margaret Helen Everett, 72, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Riverside United Methodist Church with the Reverends Chip Strickland and Steve Waldorf officiating. Burial will be at 3:30PM in Crown Hill Cemetery, 1907 Dawson Road, Albany, Georgia. Family will greet friends between 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in the Gathering Place of Riverside United Methodist Church. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, 735 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204. Mrs. Everett worked for BellSouth in Albany and Macon until she retired in 1994 with 33 years of service. She was an active member at Riverside United Methodist Church where she was past president of UMW. Mrs. Everett was very active with the telephone Pioneers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a very devoted "Mimum." She was predeceased by her son, Randy Smith. Mrs. Everett was survived by her husband, Marion Everett of Macon; daughter, Cindy Whitaker (Mike) of Birmingham, Alabama; son, Jeff Everett (Inga) of Nashville, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Amy Smith (Rodney), Grant Whitaker (Ashley), Kelsey Whitaker, Pierce Everett, Sarah Everett, and Dylan Everett; three great grandchildren, Audrey Jane Smith, Evan Smith, and Jack Whitaker; brother, Alfred Grant of Portland, Maine; twin brother, Mac Grant of Andover, Maine; and two sisters, Mary Antonowicz of Saco, Maine, and Nancy Salway (Phillip) of Windham, Maine.
