Margaret King Edenfield May 25, 1945 - November 1, 2015 Macon, GA. Margaret King Edenfield died Sunday, November 01, 2015. She was born May 25, 1945 in Greensboro, NC. Her parents were Caroline Paul King and Dr. Spencer Bidwell King, Jr. Mrs. Edenfield was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Dr. Robert Justin Edenfield, her daughter Leith Ann Edenfield Kephart (Zack) of Macon, and granddaughter Ilyssa Ann Kephart. She is also survived by her sister Janet King Wayman (Don) of Chicago, her brother Dr. Spencer Bidwell King III (Gail) of Atlanta, and nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. After moving to Macon at age two, she remained here and attended local schools. She graduated from A.L. Miller Sr. High School and then Mercer University with an AB in Sociology and a minor in music. Later she attended Macon Junior College and received an RDH in Dental Hygiene. Mrs. Edenfield was a homemaker, enjoyed volunteering, and worked for Eastern Airlines, MEDICARE Insurance, travel agencies, and in dental offices. She was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and the choir. Also she was a member of the Allen Sanders Fellowship Class. Other memberships include the Morning Music Club where she served as President, the Junior League-Arts Chairman, the Rivoli Garden Club-President, and the Macon Symphony Orchestra Board-Secretary. A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00AM Friday, November 6, 2015, at the Pierce Chapel of Wesleyan College with Dr. Jimmy Asbell officiating. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 5PM to 7PM at Hart's at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers gifts may be given to the Margaret King Edenfield Music Scholarship at Wesleyan College, 4760 Forsyth Road, Macon, GA 31210; the Allen Sanders Fellowship Class or Music and the Arts at Vineville United Methodist Church, 2045 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA 31204; the Caroline Paul King Professorship of Strings at Mercer University, 1501 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31207; or the donor's favorite charity.
