Macon-Margaret Taylor Cater Jones died Sunday, April 5, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Rd, with Dr. David Hunter and the Reverend Bruce Vaughn officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, 2009 between 6:00-8:00PM at the Cupola.
Mrs. Jones was active in the Girl Reserve, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist and graduated from A.L. Miller High School and Crandall Business College. Mrs. Jones retired from Stewart - McElrath, American Office Products, and Jones Home Day Care. She was the daughter of the late Omer Lee Taylor and the late Zuma Estelle Evans Taylor. She was the widow of Paul Randall Cater and Maurice "Buddy" Jones and was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth "Snookie" Taylor and brother, Omer Lee Taylor.
She is survived by seven children- daughter, Brenda Cater (Jim) Dodge, son, Paul Randall (Linda) Cater, Jr. of Macon, son, William Robert (Sharon) Cater of Macon, son, Clayton Rudolph (Katie) Jones of Musella, daughter, Elizabeth Jones (Mike) Lange of Macon, son, Lester Lee (Donna) Jones of Macon, daughter, Lillian Jones (Jason) Reaves of Macon; fifteen grandchildren- Joe Hartman, Jr., Angie Cozzens, Tiffany Novoa, Mike Cater, Christina Cater, Robbie Cater, Jeremy Cladin, Joshua Cladin, Kellie Jones, Michael Lange, Jr., Brian Jones, Heather Jones, Aaron Reaves, Pierce Reaves, Ella Reaves; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Robert L. Cullens of Bolingbroke, GA; and sister, Juanita Brown Chancey of Monroe, GA.
