Mandy Elaine Newman Pierson

Mandy Elaine Newman Pierson, 47, of Jones County, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Greenwood Baptist Church.  The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Daughter of the late Willie Alphus and NaDonna Ann Kiker Newman, Mandy loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and Gideons International Auxiliary Jones Jasper Camp.  She enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, and spending time with family.

Mandy is survived by her husband of 14 years, James Pierson, III of Jones County; son, Joseph Newman; step-daughter, Kymber Pierson (Cherie Holle) of New Orleans, Louisiana; sister, Jessica Newman of Eight Mile, Alabama; nephews, Peyton Newman of Eight Mile and Blake Showalter of McIntosh; step-mother,  Darlene Newman of Saraland, Alabama; mother-in-law, Marilyn Gatwood (Jerry) of McIntosh, Alabama; sisters-in-law, Anna Showalter (Terry) of McIntosh, and Heather Pierson of Pensacola, Florida; close aunt and uncle, Pat and Roger Mosley; close cousins, Dana and Tracey; and beloved pets, Bella, Shadow, and Maggie.

In addition to her parents, Mandy was preceded in death by her son, A.J. Williams and grandson, Colten Williams.
