Mallory Stanton “Stan” Milam, Sr. 78, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. He was born in Newnan, Georgia on January 13, 1947.
In the 5th grade, Stan began school at Western High School in Coweta County. It was there that he met and would later marry his sweetheart, Susan Ann Storey.
Shortly after graduation, Stan gained employment with the Western Electric Telephone Company and joined the Navy. In 1969, following his military service, he and Susan moved back to Newnan to raise their family. In 1982, Stan began working for AT&T as an engineer in the Bay Area, California.
After his youngest child graduated from high school, Stan moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. He spent several years there in the beautiful Smoky Mountains before retiring and returning to Georgia.
For almost 20 years, Stan resided with his daughter and has helped raise and support his granddaughter, Annalise Milam.
Mallory is survived by Susan Storey Milam and their children, Elizabeth Ellen-Kate “Liz” Milam, Dr. Mallory Stanton “Chip” Milam, Jr. (Dr. Emily Sikking), and Patrick Shane “Charlotte” Milam; grandchildren, Hannah Milam Rowell (Dylan), Hugh Milam, Maddie Milam, Annalise Milam; great grandchildren, Emory Fordham and Zeppelin Rowell; sister, Janice Grice (Merritt); nephews, Merritt Grice Jr., Christopher Grice, and Benjamin Grice; great nieces and great nephews, Kayleigh, Merritt III, Ruger, Remington, Elizabeth, Chace, Corey, Alice, and Jacob. He was preceded in death by his parents, F. F. and Mable Milam.
