Mrs. Marjorie Ann Lowe Burress of Macon, Georgia, born January 31, 1923 in Jones County Georgia, passed away June 29, 2017. Services will be held Monday, July 3, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, 735 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204. Mrs. Burress was a charter member of Riverside United Methodist Church. She loved all children, especially, her own grandchildren, flower gardening, and shopping. She worked as a swimming instructor at Baconsfield Pool, then as a school crossing patrol at Pierce Avenue and Riverside Drive. She retired from Robins Air Force Base as an accounting clerk after thirty-one years of civil service. Mrs. Burress is predeceased by her husband, Ellsworth "Bub" Burress, sister, Gene Lowe Adams, and grandson, Brian Harris Campbell. Mrs. Burress is survived by son, Eddie Burress, Sr. (Sharon); daughter, Jeanie Campbell (Ernest Jr.); grandchildren, Erin Campbell Atkinson, Cristy Burress Sparks, Jordan Josey, Jody Burress; great grandchildren, Campbell Atkinson, Will Atkinson, Kayla Reynolds, Lexi Sparks, Drake Burress; brother, Chester Lowe, Jr. (June) of Warner Robins, Georgia; nephew Brett Lowe; nieces Lizbeth Lowe Mellon, and Leslie Lowe Brown. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Zebulon Park Health and Rehab for their kindness and excellent care. Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola has charge of arrangements.
