Major James H. Crawford, Jr (USAF-Retired) passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Hart's Mortuary from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Friday at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church with the Reverends Tommy Mason and Tommy Perkins officiating. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, with military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Macon Outreach, 267 First Street, Macon, GA 31201 or The Methodist Home, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, GA 31204. Mr. Crawford, was born in Columbiana, AL to the late Dr. James H. Crawford, Sr. and Lucille DuBose Crawford. He was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and a volunteer at The Medical Center of Central Georgia. He was a graduate and big supporter of the University of Alabama class 1950 & 1972. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He retired from The United States Air Force as a pilot after 20 years of service. He also retired from the state of Georgia Vocational Rehab as a counselor after about 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Zenna Crawford; son, James H. Crawford III (Mary), Mike Crawford (Kelly); Grandchildren, James H. Crawford, IV, Richard Crawford, Heather Crawford Dane, Chance Crawford, Ansley Crawford, Chandler Crawford, Cameron Crawford; step-children, Sandi Glore (Ronnie), Eric Peacock(Pam); sister, Bunny Hatchett; nephews, Thomas Hatchett and Matt Hatchett; and niece, Holly Hatchett; step-grandchildren, India Crumpton, Brittany Pergerson, Todd Peacock, Tamara Sampson, Tiffany Ellsworth, and Emory Peacock; ; numerous great grandchildren and extended family.
