Lura Albritton Bartlett

Lura Albritton Bartlett, 87, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Reverend Richard Bobo officiating. Burial will be in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. Family will greet friends one hour before the service in the church sanctuary. Mrs. Bartlett was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church until unable to attend due to illness. She loved her Lord and applied herself to all the principles of a virtuous woman as found in Proverbs 31. Mrs. Bartlett worked in the cotton mill at an early age, went to cosmetology school and fixed hair for over 50 years. She loved to work in her flower beds, she was a great cook and housekeeper. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was blessed to have seen five generations of her family. Mrs. Bartlett was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, James C. Bartlett; brothers, Roscoe, J.B., Halton, Lee, and Bobby Albritton; sisters, Mary Frances Burkett, Lozia Moulton, and Joyce Albritton. Mrs. Bartlett is survived by her daughter, Rita Foster (Tommy) of Jones County; sons, Larry Bartlett (Debbie) of Macon, and Mike Bartlett (Faye) of Byron; grandchildren, Kirk Foster (Misty), Jody Foster (Melanie), Keith Bartlett (Denene), Kim Watkins (Reed), Ashli Morris (Brian); great grandchildren, Randy Foster (April), Rayce, Brittany & Jake Foster, Lane & Coleman Watkins, Mason & Lilly Bartlett, and Eli & Emily Morris; great great grandchildren, Ryder & Annie Mae Foster; sister, Mae Barber; many nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, "Muffin."
