Lucille Williams Sutley

Macon-Lucille Williams Sutley passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her family. Services will be held 3:00PM on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Rod Callahan officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park. Visitation will be between 6:00-8:00PM on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Cupola. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, PO Box 6533, Macon GA 31208 or to donor's favorite charity.

Mrs. Sutley was a member of Glenwood Hills United Methodist Church. She was co-owner of Marion's Body Shop, previously worked for J.C. Penny's, and also sold insurance. She was a member of the Lunch Bunch. Mrs. Sutley was predeceased by her parents, Alpha Williams and Evie Hammock Williams; a brother, Howard Williams; and a sister, Vera Bailey.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Marion W. Sutley of Macon; three daughters, Vivian Carpenter Hill (Alton) of Bell Buckle, TN, Elaine Carpenter Jones (Larry) of Macon, and Rosalyn Carpenter Raines (Don) of Macon; four grandchildren, Wanda Svirk (John) of Chapel Hill, NC, April Hill of Murfreesboro, TN, John Thigpin (Rana) of Macon, and Jamie Edwards (Nettie) of Macon; seven great grandchildren; sister, Louise Ross of Macon; faithful canine companion, Rascal; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Mid Georgia Ambulance, Coliseum Wound Center, 5-West Staff at Coliseum Medical Center, Central Georgia Home Health, Hospice of Central Georgia, and Dr. Maria Cavaliere.
