Elizabeth Lucille Giles, 87, of Macon, passed away peacefully January 12, 2015, with her family by her side. Born August 14, 1927 in Macon to the late Samuel Bernard Hartis, Sr. and Lila Mae Herring, Lucille was a championship-winning Jitterbug dancer, who also enjoyed The Charleston, and The Virginia Reel in her youth. Lucille spent her career in the printing industries of J.W. Burke Company, Southern Press, Omnipress, and retired from Coggin and Mann, and Robins Air Force Base. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne Giles, daughter Patsy Moulton Lowe, and one brother and two sisters. Always the picture of class and style, Lucille was a wonderful cook, and her family will cherish their memories, always. Mrs. Giles is survived by her son, Jimmy (Peggy) Moulton; grandchildren, Drake (Melissa) Moulton, Ross (Pam) Moulton, and Brandy (Dave) Neubauer; great grandchildren, Taylor Moulton, Blayne, Gage, and Asher Neubauer, and Parker Moulton; brother, James Hartis. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 5-7PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2:00PM with Rev. Andy Pickens officiating. Flowers will be graciously accepted, or donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice. The family may be contacted at the home of Jimmy and Peggy Moulton.
