Lucile Joines Hadarits, 98, Macon, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Dawid Kwiatkowski will officiate. Born in Sylvester, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Vester Franklin Joines and Nellie Commander Joines. She was the widow of Alexander Joseph Hadarits. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 70 years, where she volunteered in the church library and lead tours during the Cherry Blossom Festival. She also participated in the church choir for many years. Mrs. Hadarits was a house parent for the Georgia Academy for the Blind for many years. She was very passionate about her family, and set an example of excellence for her entire family. Known for being a devoted mother, she raised her children to live as she did and always strive to be a better person. In addition to being a great seamstress, she was an excellent cook, and took up painting later in life. Her family particularly enjoyed her homemade bread, dill pickles, and legendary twelve layer mocha torte cake. She is survived by her children, Joseph H. Hadarits (Paulette) of Hoschton, Georgia and Marcella Christine Hadarits Slotkin(Arthur) of Atlanta, Georgia. Six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Sister, Odessa Bridwell of LaGrange, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Macon, Georgia 31201.
