Lucas Sweatman

Lucas Dale Sweatman, age 25, of Barnesville, Georgia, gained his angel wings on January 9, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Hart’s Mortuary Jones County Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service. Guests are encouraged to wear colorful or bright colors in honor of Lucas.

Lucas was a graduate of Lamar County High School and was known for his joyful spirit and constant smile. He was always happy, always smiling, and had a heart full of love. Lucas loved everyone, and everyone who knew him loved him in return.

He especially enjoyed watching television, particularly The Wiggles. Bright colors brought him happiness, as did mirrors, and one of his greatest joys was giving hugs. Lucas had a special way of bringing warmth and happiness to those around him, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Lucas will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Tommy and April Sweatman of Barnesville; siblings: CT, Ashlie, Tina, Tyler, Grant, DJ, Summer, Kaleb, and Joshua; nephew, Isaiah Smith; grandparents, Teresa and Tommy Sweatman of Barnesville; aunt, Trisha Simmons of Stockbridge, Georgia; and uncle, Scott Dalrymple (Jody) of Logansville, Georgia.
