Louis W. "Snooks" Jones, Jr.

Macon- Louis W. "Snooks" Jones, Jr., of Macon, died Saturday August 7, 2010. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at 10:00AM, at Highview Cemetery in Gray, GA. Father Allan McDonald will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, from 6:00PM until 7:00PM, at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Joseph's Catholic School Scholarship Fund, 905 High Street, Macon, GA 31201. Mr. Jones was a Boy Scout, a member of the American Legion and a life member of the Legion of the Moose. He was also a member of the VFW and the F.O.E. Aerie #977. Mr. Jones was a member of St. Joseph's Church for 50 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis Wynton Jones, Sr. and Sarah Jones Smith. Mr. Jones was also predeceased by his brother in law, Rex Taylor. Survivors: Sister, Carolyn J. Taylor of Macon; Niece, Carol Taylor Rose of Macon and great nephew T.J. Brightman of Macon. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
