Lonie "Louise" Upshaw Jones, of Cusseta, GA, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2016, at 2PM, in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016, from 4PM until 6PM, at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909. Mrs. Jones moved to Cusseta, GA with her husband Walker in 1972. She loved to play cards, especially Canasta. She worked as a pharmacist, was the Head Cashier for Piggly Wiggly for many years, and worked at the family owned restaurant. Mrs. Jones was a Southern Baptist who watched 1st Baptist Church of Columbus every Sunday morning and loved the children's ministry. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. She would say "if you didn't have anything good to say about someone, don't say anything at all." Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Lillace Upshaw, her husband, Walker Perry Jones, her siblings, Tommy Upshaw, Cecil E. Upshaw and Larry Upshaw. She was survived by her sons, Perry R. Jones, Timothy J. (Sandra) Jones and Andrew G. Jones, her siblings, J.B. (Nellie) Upshaw, Christine Rogers, Joseph (Mimi) Upshaw, Ann (Billy Joe) Wilson and James Upshaw, her grandchildren, Kelly Goodson, Amanda Myers, Melissa Perone and Shelby Jones.
