Soddy Daisy, TN- Lois Beasley Thames, 95, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Soddy Daisy Nursing Home. Services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with Reverend Paul Creech officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Saturday from noon until 2:00PM at the funeral home. Lois was a lifelong resident of Macon, Georgia, residing in Chattanooga for the past five years. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for eighty-three years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thames; parents, Oscar and Lucy Beasley; sisters, Helen Barfield and Bessie Self; brothers, O.C. Beasley Jr., Ralph Beasley and Gene Beasley; nephew, Freddie Barfield, Jr. Lois is survived by her daughter, Elena (Jack) Molton; two grandchildren, Beth (Glenn) Lyon and Gary (Melanie) Molton; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Lyon and Alexis Molton; brothers, Eddie Beasley and Russell Beasley; sister, Marie Reid, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family very much appreciates the love and care given to Lois during her stay at Soddy Daisy Nursing Home. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
