Lois Howington

Lois Hall Howington went to meet Jesus on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Funeral services will be held at United Community Church on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11:00AM, Pastor Cory Maurer officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to United Community Church, 2411 Heath Road, Macon, Georgia 31206 - 5258. Mrs. Howington was an active member of United Community Church. She was artistic, loved painting and floral designing. A garden club member, Mrs. Howington grew flowers, had a beautiful rose garden, and put arrangements in her church every Sunday for many years. She nurtured not only flowers, but also her family and friends - always doing for others. Mrs. Howington was the definition of the Proverbs 31 woman. She was predeceased by her husband, William Joseph Howington and by her daughter, Peggy Joyce Howington Whitt. Mrs. Howington is survived by her daughters: JoAnn H. Fortner of Griffin, Sandra H. Summersgill of Columbus, Judy H. Santori of Milledgeville, Deborah H. Cox of Byron, and Donna Jean Howington of Macon; and many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
