L.O. “Duke” Rogero, 80, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, after an extended illness.
Son of the late Charles Joseph Rogero and Anna White Rogero, Duke was born in Macon on March 5, 1945. He attended Mercer University and the University of Georgia, and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Duke worked as a real estate agent, specializing in property along the Ocmulgee River, and later retired from the profession. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Duke is survived by his daughter, Tyler Kathryn Rogero of Asheville, North Carolina; sister, Barbara Poloncic (Ron) of Jekyll Island, Georgia; brother, Robert Rogero of Nampa, Idaho; nephews, Steven Poloncic of Macon and Mike Rogero of Taiwan; and dear friends, Steve and Nancy Lewis who were just like family and enjoyed many adventures with him and helped take care of him in his final days.
