Linda Jean Phillips

Linda Jean Phillips, 72, of Macon, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Northway Church. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Linda was born in Lyons, Georgia on August 20, 1949.  She graduated in 1967 from Vidalia High School, and then moved to Macon to attend radiology school.  Her favorite hobbies were going to the beach at St. Simons Island, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her son, Patrick Buffington, of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Taylor Buffington, of Athens, Georgia, Caroline Buffington, of Macon, Georgia, and Landon Buffington, of Macon, Georgia; mother, Jean Colson Barnes, of Macon, Georgia; sisters, Ann Blaxton (Larry), and  Debbie Robinson, both of Macon, Georgia; brother, Kenny Colson, of Butler, Georgia; nieces and nephews: Lori Russ (Greg), Lisa Brown (Scotty), Jennifer Jackson (Richard), Travis Williams (Hollie), Danny Williams, and Brian Robinson; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Kenneth Colson, Sr. and her husband, Dr. Al Phillips.
