Linda Gale Jennings

Linda Gale Jennings, 79, of Gray, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, with the Reverend Dr. Tommy Jordan officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Daughter of the late Reverend Harold Thomas Jennings and Betty Jean Edwards Jennings, Linda was born in Franklin, North Carolina on June 22, 1945.  After graduating from McEvoy High School, she attended Tift College for a few years.   She retired from Robins Air Force base after 21 years of service.

Linda was a good musician with a beautiful singing voice, which she often used to sing praises to the Lord.  She enjoyed visiting the mountains, especially going back home to Franklin, North Carolina.  She also loved going to St. Simons and was always up for going out to dinner.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Ed Jennings of Gray; brother, Jim Jennings (Debbie) of Milledgeville, Georgia; nieces, Kelly Pouncey (Michael) of Hughes, Arkansas, Angie Jennings of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Gracie Collins of Milner, Georgia; nephew, Reed Jennings of Macon, Georgia; step sisters, Betsy Smith (Johnny) of Byron, Georgia, Fay Boggs of Byron, Georgia, Johnnie Benson of South Carolina, Laura Bates of Byron, Georgia, Melba Harper (Hank) of Villa Rica, Georgia, and Phyllis Huff (Glynn) of Gray, Georgia.
