Linda Ray Goldsmith Sorrells

Linda Ray Goldsmith Sorrells, 65, of 5923 Northern Dancer Drive, died 7 November 2009, at Medical Center of Central Georgia. A native of Shelby, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Neil Curtis Goldsmith and Margaret Ray Brydges Goldsmith. She was a member of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church; and was retired from Belk's as a Women's Merchandise Manager in Macon, Ga. A graduate of Coral Gables High School, she received her bachelor's from Florida State University. Surviving are husband, Walter Stanley Sorrells, sisters & brothers in law: Lynn Davis (Ty Judkins) of Cumming, Ga., and Bonnie (Al) Waldrep of Byron, Ga.; a niece, Katie Waldrep of Auburn, Al; two nephews: Doug Waldrep of Byron, Ga., and Kyle Sorrells, US Army, Ft. Benning, Ga. First cousins: Ruth Sherman of Shelby, N.C.; Dr. Glenn Grayson of Greensboro, N.C.; Sarah Murtiashaw of Alaska; William Grayson of Derby, Fla; Mary Alice Eaves of Shelby, N.C.; Charles Brydges of Lewisville, N.C.; Mary Pett of Washington D.C.; and William Pett of East Greenwich, RI. The Rev. John Napoli will conduct services Wednesday 11 November 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church one hour (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.) prior to the services at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.
