Linda Levy Fried, 61, of Macon, died Saturday, January 26, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Temple Beth Israel with the Rabbi Laurence Schlesinger officiating. Burial will be in William Wolff Cemetery in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Fried was raised in Chevy Chase, Maryland and attended the University of Maryland. She met the love of her life, Jeffrey Fried, while he was a student at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Linda raised three children in Indiana, Pennsylvania. In 1995, she relocated to Macon, where she built her dream farm, Highridge Farms, and taught many young, aspiring equestrian show jumpers. Mrs. Fried is survived by her husband of 38 years, Dr. Jeffrey A. Fried of Macon; three children, Stephen Fried of Houston, Texas, Robert Fried and his wife, Rachael, of New York, New York, and Susan Fried of Macon; two brothers, Jonathan Levy of Arlington, Virginia, and David Levy and his wife, Dr. Margaret Levy, of Abington, Pennsylvania; and a grandson on the way. In her memory, Dr. Fried writes: "She lived a wonderful life, she was beautiful, and she pushed us to be our very best every day. We will miss her very much." Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
