Linda Pate Cooper, 73, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Hart’s at the Cupola. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All About Animals, P.O. Box 4331, Macon GA 31208.
Daughter of the late James Leon Pate and Flora Bell Floyd Pate, Linda was born in Macon on February 24, 1951. She was a 1969 graduate of A.L. Miller High School.
She worked for 26 years at INA/CIGNA Insurance Company as a workflow coordinator. Her professional journey continued as she served the State Court of Bibb County Solicitor General's office with dedication, as a legal administrative assistant for 15 years.
An avid crafter, she channeled her creativity into beautiful handmade treasures. With a passion for travel, Linda explored new places, always with a song in her heart. She had a love for music and knew the lyrics to hundreds of songs.
Linda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jim Cooper, of Macon; four children: James L. Cooper III of Lizella, Georgia, Rodney A. Cooper of Macon, Candace Cooper Mullis (Patrick) of Bowersville, Georgia, and Logan P. Cooper (Linda) of Thomasville, Georgia; grandchildren, Zemmie Mullis and Phoenix Mullis; brother, James Wesley Pate of Macon; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her five sisters: Bonnie Pate, Sara Delores Brown, Brenda Faye Pate Beasley, Glenda Pate Douglas, and Deborah Lynn Pate Bearden.
