Lillie Joiner Minton

Lillie Joiner Minton, 87, went to her heavenly home on Monday, February 23, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Haddock Baptist Church, 180 Ethridge Rd., Haddock, GA 31033. Dr. Ron McClung and Rev. Michael Rodgers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Haddock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, from 5:00-7:00pm, at the Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray, GA 31032. Mrs. Minton was the daughter of Earnest Frank Joiner, Sr., and Blanche Urssy. She was predeceased by her husband Thurston Holice Minton; daughter Blanche Johnson and grandson Brad Johnson. She was retired from JC Penney where she worked as a customer service representative. She was a dedicated member of Haddock Baptist Church and taught sunday school for over sixty years. She always had a hug and a prayer for everyone and continually witnessed for the Lord. Survivors include her daughter Rosemary Cumbess; grandsons David Moore and Curt Johnson; granddaughters Stephanie Hobby and Tiffany White (George); five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; sister Nell Williams; sister-in-law Connie Joiner; brother-in-law Robert Walker; and many nieces and nephews.
