Lillian Charlotte Edwards Hawkins

Lillian Charlotte Edwards Hawkins, 86, of Butler, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Butler Memorial Gardens.

Charlie was born in Butler, Georgia on December 30, 1939, to the late Julian Willis “J.W.” Edwards and Lillian Brown Edwards. She graduated from Butler High School and attended Brenau College.

Charlie will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Scott Edwards Kyle of Austin, Texas and Stuart Edwards Whatley of Butler, Georgia; grandchildren: Justin, Hannah, Maddy, Olivia, and George; and brother, Sonny Edwards (Martha Ruth) of Butler, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, Charlie was preceded in death by her son, Henry Harrison “Ricky” Kyle; and brother, Ward Edwards.
