Lewis Melvin Campbell

Macon- Lewis Melvin Campbell, 73, passed away on July 7, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 2:00PM at Centennial Christian Church Cemetery, White Plains, GA. The family will greet friends at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, on Thursday from 6:00PM until 7:30PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Centennial Christian Church, c/o Judy Hodnut, 7601 Veazey Road, White Plains, GA 30678. Mr. Campbell was predeceased by his parents, Dorsey Lee Campbell and Tyrue Manley Campbell, brothers, Charles O. Campbell and Julian E. Campbell and sister, Louise C. Kirksey. He was retired from Southern Railroad and from Nolen Company. Mr. Campbell is survived by his son, Melvin Campbell (Shannon); grandchildren, Christopher, Mary and Samuel; brother, Chester (Jean) Campbell; and sister, Alice (Leroy) Hartley.
