Leonard (Len) Lizek

Leonard (Len) Lizek, 77, of Macon, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 17, 2009 at 10:00AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be held at 2:00PM in Andersonville National Cemetery. Father Alan McDonald will officiate.

A Rosary will be said at 7:00PM, Thursday, April 16, 2009, with visitation following the Rosary in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, Peake Road.

Born in Whately, Mass., he was the son of the late Peter Lizek and Ida Wilga Lizek. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the Air Force. Mr. Lizek was owner and operator of M&G Construction Co. and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a faithful member of the Wellness Center.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen Lizek of Macon, Ga.; children, Andrew L. Lizek (Kristen) of Portsmouth, Virginia and Alison S. Lizek of Macon; brothers, Harold Lizek (Jeanette) and David Lizek (Patricia), both of Hatfield, Mass.

Family may be contacted at the residence.
