Leonard "Bubba" Kitchens

Macon- Leonard "Bubba" Kitchens, 76, of 4508 Donnan Road, died Monday, October 31, 2011. Services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 2:00PM at Swift Creek United Methodist Church with the Reverend Leland Collins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Swift Creek United Methodist Church, 4271 Jeffersonville Road, Macon, Georgia 31217. Mr. Kitchens was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was the son of the late Buford Bradley and Myrtle Wood Kitchens and was predeceased by his sons, Leonard Bradley Kitchens, Jr. and Gary Wood Kitchens. He was a lifelong member of Swift Creek United Methodist Church. Mr. Kitchens retired after more than twenty-five years of service from Local #72 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. Mr. Kitchens is survived by his wife, Clarice Kitchens; sons and daughter, Phillip W. Kitchens (Daisy), Chris B. Kitchens, Kimberly Everett (Eric) and Kevin W. Kitchens; brothers, Joseph "Beau" Kitchens (Gwen) and Ronald Kitchens (Martha); eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
