Lena B. James: of Macon, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before service time in the funeral home. Born in Bibb County, She was the daughter of the late William Edward Brown and Lena Strickland Brown. She was also predeceased by her step-mother, Mozelle Brown. She was happily married to Felton James for 45 years. She was a life member of the Doles United Methodist Church and past president of the United Methodist Women. She served on many committees within the church. Her faith and her family were very important to her. She is survived by her son, W.F."Bill" James and his wife Lillian of Macon, Ga. Adopted Sister, Jerry Douthit of Macon. Three Grandchildren, Billy James (Nicole); Paige Howell (Rich) and Marlena Crest(Charlie), and seven great grandchildren, and caregiver, Doris Lowe. Flowers will be accepted, but the family request memorials be made to the Doles United Methodist 6258 Thomaston Road, Macon, Ga. 31220, or to the Alzheimers Association, Central Georgia Chapter, 301 Mulberry Street, Suite 201, Macon, Ga. 31201.
