Leland Franklin Skinner, Sr.

Leland Franklin Skinner, Sr., 75, of Lite-N-Tie Road, died Friday, February 24, 2017, at a local hospital with his family by his side. The family will greet friends Sunday, February 26, 2017, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Hart's Jones County Chapel in Gray. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 27, 2017, at 1:00 PM, at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray. Mr. Skinner was born November 19, 1941, and had lived in Jones County for the past 68 years. He was the son of the late James Skinner and Fannie Mae Hawkins Skinner. Mr. Skinner was the co-owner of Tri-Star Masonry Contractors. Mr. Skinner loved playing music and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Y. Skinner of 50 years, five brothers, and three sisters. Mr. Skinner is survived by his children; Lee and Melissa Skinner, Keith and Pam Skinner, and Tammy and Jason Kilpatrick; grandchildren: Kayse (Alex) Windham, Nicholas Skinner, Brent Skinner, Jacob Skinner, Brittany Kilpatrick, Ryan Skinner, Dakota Skinner, Kyle Skinner, Kaylee Skinner, Mackenzie Kilpatrick, and seven great-grandchildren; brother: Jack Skinner and sisters: Ruby Wilcox, Diane Skinner, Mary Huddleston.
