L.D. Campbell

L.D. Campbell, 90, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Michael Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Family will greet friends between 6:00-8:00PM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mr. Campbell was a member of God's Church of Worship and Praise where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Campbell was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. He was a retired Engineering Supervisor at Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife of 71 years, Beulah Campbell of Lizella; three sons, Frank J. Campbell (Janice) of Warner Robins, Lamar H. Campbell (Faye) of Macon, and Ronnie E. Campbell (Karen) of Lizella; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary McGowan of Lizella, and Ellen Fowler of Atlanta; and two brothers, James Campbell of Winder, Georgia, and Lloyd Campbell of Dalton, Georgia.
