Lawson A. "Skeeter" Pettey

Lawson A. (Skeeter) Pettey died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 16. Mr. Pettey was born in Macon on September 19, 1949 to Gus and Norma Pettey. He attended Alexander III Grammar School, Lanier, and graduated from Mark Smith High School, class of '67. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, and attended UGA and Mercer University, graduating cum laude in Biology. He was retired from Robins AFB. Mr. Pettey was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Pettey Estes. He is survived by his nephews Mark Estes (Karen) and Tyler Estes, and many friends.
